About
I spent around twelve years carrying technical responsibility myself, as technical lead and CTO and as managing director within a group of companies in the media and publishing industry.
As part of the expert team at Mainframe Beratung AG I have been advising since 2012 on technical due diligence for startups and by coaching management teams on structured software development. I am familiar with decision-making processes that one would prefer not to undertake alobne or without a solid knowledge base.
I teach software architecture to students at the International University of Applied Sciences since spring 2026. For over a year I have used agentic coding in my daily development work.
Background
As part of the “Generation C=64” I have been programming computers since my early youth. After my university diploma in computer science I worked at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the Max Planck Society and went self-employed in early 2005. At WWDC 2007 I decided to devote myself intensively to developing software for Apple devices. A year later, with the release of the first iPhone SDK, I began writing my first iPhone apps and worked in numerous international software projects in various roles.
